Report categories
Payroll Processing
Weekly Payroll Summary
Shows regular, overtime, and double-time hours per employee per project for a selected pay week. Includes labor classification breakdowns and timesheet status. Filter by status to see only approved timesheets before running payroll.
Direct vs. Indirect Hours
Breaks each employee’s total hours for the week into direct (project-charged) and indirect (overhead) hours with a percentage-direct column. Useful for verifying utilization before closing payroll.
Classification Hours Breakdown
Aggregates hours by labor classification code for a period, showing total hours, number of employees, and number of projects for each classification. Optionally filter by employee or project.
Prevailing Wage
Prevailing Wage by Project
Shows total hours logged to each project, broken down by DIR wage determination period and labor classification. Use this to verify prevailing wage compliance for the pay week.
DIR Determination Reference
Lists every synced project with its RFP date, active DIR period code, and the effective and expiration dates of the determination. No date filter needed — this is a point-in-time reference.
Certified Payroll
Shows employee hours by project, week, and classification code in the format required for certified payroll submissions. Filter by project to generate a single-project certified payroll report.
Compliance Controls
Overtime Exceptions
Lists every compliance finding related to overtime for the selected week. Each row shows the employee, project, severity, finding description, and resolution status. Filter by employee or severity to focus the review.
Meal Break Exceptions
Lists compliance findings related to California meal break requirements. Identifies employees who missed or took late meal breaks during the week. Filter by employee to investigate a specific person.
Compliance Findings Summary
A combined view of all compliance findings for the week across all categories. Filter by category (Overtime, Meal Break, DIR Reference, Classification) and severity to focus on the most urgent items.
Unresolved Findings
Shows all open compliance findings regardless of pay week — findings that have not been marked resolved. Each row shows how many days the finding has been open. Findings open longer than seven days are highlighted in red.
Approval & Audit
Timesheet Status
A full-roster status snapshot for the selected week. Shows each employee’s current timesheet status, workflow step, submission time, final approval time, and revision count. Filter by status to find drafts, pending approvals, or rejections.
Pending Approvals by Approver
Groups all in-flight timesheets by approval status. Shows how many days each timesheet has been pending. Rows pending more than three days are highlighted in amber as a prompt for follow-up.
Approval Cycle Time
Shows how long each timesheet took to move from submission to final approval, with revision counts. Use this to identify bottlenecks in the approval chain.
Late Submissions
Lists timesheets submitted after the weekly deadline. Each row shows the employee, project, week-end date, submission time, and days late — flagged in amber.
Missing Timesheets
Identifies employees who have not started or not yet submitted a timesheet for the selected week. A Not Started badge means no draft exists; a Draft – Unsubmitted badge means a draft is open but not submitted. Run this on Monday or Tuesday of the following week.
Amendment Log
A timestamped record of every approval action (approval, rejection, revision request) for the selected period. Each row shows the subject employee, the reviewer who took the action, comments, and the workflow step at the time of the action.
Punch Clock Audit Log
A chronological log of all clock-in and clock-out events for a date range. Use Start Date and End Date filters (rather than a week picker) to capture any range. Filter by employee to review one person’s punch history.
Project / Cost
Project Hours Summary
Shows total hours charged to a project in a hierarchical layout: project total → phase totals → task totals. Filter by project to drill into a single project’s cost structure.
Employee × Project Matrix
A cross-tab showing each employee’s hours per project for the week with row and column totals. Cells with no hours show a dash. Useful for distributing labor cost reviews across your team.
Phase / Task Utilization
Lists every phase and task combination across projects with total hours and the number of distinct employees who logged time to it. Filter by project to see one project’s WBS utilization.
Exporting report data
Once a report has run successfully, an Export CSV button appears in the top-right of the report panel. Click it to download the current results as a comma-separated file named after the report and the selected week start date (e.g.,payroll-summary-2025-06-02.csv). The Employee × Project Matrix report does not support CSV export due to its cross-tab structure.
